Team Milton Keynes Road Racing
Team Milton Keynes is an active road racing club competing at
both a local and national level.
2005 Achievements
The high points on the road in 2005 have been Adam
Illingworth's Bronze medal in the National Espoirs (U23) Championship and Roy Chamberlain's 9th
place in the National Championships. Adam came through our youth development
squad, Team Keyne, and is now riding for the the top French team US
Montauban with Dave Rayner fund backing and in August took the prestigious
Grand Prix de Puy Lévêque. Roy has had a great year with consistent top ten
placings in Premier Calendar events and giving us a home win in our own event back in April.
Team MK also had an outstanding team result in the Tour Of Malta
with Team MK riders
on the podium on each stage and ensuring that Roy took the overall as well.

Training
The Saturday morning cafe runs leave from outside the
'Passage To India' restaurant on Stony Stratford High Street at 9:30
throughout the year. These are usually about 40 miles with a cafe stop on
the way home and usually split into 2 or 3 ability groups.
The Sunday training rides run from September through to
March. These are relatively steady before Christmas with the pace hotting up
in January prior to the start of the racing season in March.
