22 young triathletes from Team Milton Keynes headed to the Beachborough Schools Triathlon at Stowe School on Sunday 18th June. With temperatures pushing 30 degrees on the hottest day of the year so far, it was certainly as much a challenge to conserve energy and stay hydrated as to achieve personal bests!

In the youth category, for 15-16 year olds, Barbara de Koning won the girls’ event while Matthew Dicks finished in second place for the boys.

In Tristar 3, for 13-14 year olds, Amelia Gibbs and Madison Glossy raced for the girls while Rory Hammond and Morgan Tagg took up the challenge for the boys.

In Tristar 2, for 11-12 year olds, Sonja de Koning kept pace with her sister with a fine victory while Eloise Edwards, Livvy Pearson and siblings Scarlett and Liberty Young delivered solid performances for the girls’ team. Ed Johnson, Jake Sams and Christian Gibbs all clocked up fine times for the boys.

In Tristar 1, for 9-10 year olds, Anneliesa Johnson, Laura Pearson and Anabel Thomas raced well for the girls, while Colby Glossy and Jasper Greenhalgh stepped up for the boys.

Finally, in the Tristart category for 8 year olds, Merle Snelson managed a fine second place, with Olivia Orme - in just her second race - delivering an excellent fourth.
