The 175km Marmotte is the hardest of the sportives with its 5000m of climbing up the Col de Glandon, Col de Telegraphe, Col du Galibier and the final 21 hairpins of Alp d'Huez. Results from Frankfurt indicate that:

Chrissie Wellington won the ladies race in the 2nd fastest ever time by a women 8:51 odd and Chris McCormick won the mens race in a sub 8 hour clocking.

For TeamMK we had Jamie Hawthorne and Paul Joyce. They both got cracking times as follows:

MK Sprint 3 - Win for Scott Wiseman

The same day as the Cowman a number of TeamMK members competed in the Sprint race. It was won by our very own Scott Wiseman. Mark Kleanthous was our first vet home. Liam Tierney, Paul Tilleard and Phil Shrimpton were all closely matched with Paul closing down on the other during his fast 20:16 run split.

OK, well done everyone who completed this gruelling event in the rain and wind. For many it was their first "half ironman" and there were some notable performances by a number of our members including James Cartwright who was the first of our senior men. I've adjusted my (Robin Dowswell's) result taken from Blacksheep sports and left everyone elses alone.
