CANCELLATION of Tour Of Lombardy Sportive. Pro race goes ahead
The Sportive has been CANCELLED but the professional race goes ahead. Clive supplied me with this information 21 Sept. Seems like Clive and a few others are still planning to ride the route of the sportive but there is NO OFFICIAL SPORTIVE.
No further news on why. Alternatiove of what has been happening in the UK where the professional race gets canned but the sportive goes ahead (ie Archer GP and Tour of Wessex) due to policing problems of the main event.

“TOUR OF LOMBARDY “The Tour of the Falling Leaves- Sportive 18th October 09, Lake Como, Italy.
Here is the info on the Team Milton Keynes trip to this great event your chance to ride the full course 140 km or a shorter course of approx 100 km the day after the pros race on the 17thi including the climb of the Ghisallo. Based in Como Italy on the Italian Lakes the location is easy to access by air from Luton with Ryanair www.ryanair.com to Milan Bergamo or easy jet www.easyjet.com to Milan Malpensa cost currently £10 to £45 per person Plus Bike.
Base for the trip will be Bellagio a fabulous small resort on the Lake from where access by boat takes us to see the pro race and to the start and return from the Sportive.
Hotels available include the Suisse From 82euros per night or the Il perlo panorama from 73 euros www.venere.com.for all hotels
