This week it is a 1500m timetrial (800m for those newer to swimming). This timetrial will be repeated on the 10th April. You should focus on ensuring you see improvement in the 6 weeks before 10th April. Ask Mark Booth or Robin Dowswell for advice on how to ensure you can improve the time.
The timetrial is preceded by a warm up of between 500m and 900m. Add in a few drills and race pace swimming to this warm up to get your stroke nicely in the groove.
By the way if you left your blue goggles and yellow swim hat at last weeks swim session they are now with Stantonbury reception in a brown envelope marked "triathlon" or words to that effect.

Triathlon swim training takes place at Stantonbury Leisure center pool with Mark Booth coaching. There is no need to pay anything at reception just go through to the changing rooms, change and meet at the poolside at 19:30. Lanes are graded on ability so anyone can come along and benefit. Sessions start with a warm up of 6-800 metres followed by a varying mix of drills and technique improving sets.
There is a £2.00 charge payable to Robin for each session. Robin is normally to be found holding up the fish in fast lane. Pay him before you leave poolside.
