Testing Testing Testing 1-2-3

Club Time & Distance rankings from open & club time trialling events in 2009.  Tables are in reverse order (as this gets me nearer the top  ) but really because the list for the longer distances are shorter and more likely to be accurate and comprehensive.  As always if there are any amendments or corrections send them in  .  The positions are those in the actual event.

24 hours

This was not a time trial in the true British sense of the word but Lynne Coldray still covered an impressive 372 miles around the Le Mans Bugatti circuit during August in France.

12 hours

Comp Distance Event Pos Rider Time Date Course Notes
Open 12hr ECCA 12hr 2 Jason Gurney 265 23/08/2009 E2/12 Club Rec
Open 12hr CC Breckland 12hr 8 Geoff Perry 242 16/08/2009 B12/3 Vet-Club Rec

Geoff rode the first 12 hour event for many years, for a TMK rider, last year and this year we had two. Records in both to boot!

100 miles

Comp Distance Event Pos Rider Time Date Course Notes

Open 100 WCA 100 42 Geoff Perry 04:22:34 09/08/2009 R100/8 Vet

Jason & Geoff both rode two 100s, and Helen & Geoff had (what would have been the fastest 100) cancelled due to fog.

50 miles

Open 50 Shaftesbury CC 50 47 Helen Boatman 02:00:35 13/06/2009 E2/50C

E2/50C is clearly the 50 mile course of choice.  Hutch did comp record on it last year. Only Geoff & Helen rode more than one 50, although Jason had another one cancelled due to the weather.

30 miles or so

Comp Distance Event Pos Rider Time Date Course Notes
Open 30 Norlond TT 30 4 Jason Gurney 01:05:13 10/05/2009 F1/30 Club Rec
Open 30 VTTA National Championship 30 17 Geoff Perry 01:09:46 30/08/2009 E2/30 Vet-Club Rec
Open 31 A5 Rangers CC 31 15 Steve Clarke 01:23:35 21/03/2009 NC3 Vet
Open 31 A5 Rangers CC 31 30 Mark Kleanthous 01:38:39 21/03/2009 NC3 Vet

30 mile TT's are rarely run, and the (local) A5 event is really an early season hard riders event, so not really a fair comparison with the dual carriageways.
