Dave Brown 1st at Bedford Sprint Triathlon No.4
The last Bedford Sprint took place on the 30th September 2007
Ten TMK athletes travelled the short distance to Bedford to do the last sprint race in their series. Dave Brown won in 61:43 leaving the rest of the competitors way behind. He was using the race as preparation for some international Duathlon race later this autumn. Kieron Lewis was same 3rd overall and 1st 35-39 in 66:11 with Reg Beacall
in 37th with 73:49.
Colin Bradeley was next in in 49th followed by Junior Joe Swithenby who posted the 6th fastest run split (faster than Kieron!). John Ritchie was next in 143rd with 86:09 followed closely by Martin Erasmus in 153rd and 87:00.
Elmer Mullanwon the ladies event in 21st with Anne-Marie Chafer, our only lady in 223rd and coming 8th in her category in 97:39. Kevin Braithwaite did not finish after a reasonable start swimming 7:05.
