Club cross-country champs

The cross country running championships were held at the Campbell Park Canter on Sunday, 20th Jan in sunny conditions. The race distance was 10k over varied terrain including some steep hillocks, grassy fields and through winding woodchip paths.

The top 3 men from TMK in the 10k event were:

"Pickaxe" Peter Ford  44:09

"Sledgehammer" Andy Wright 45:17

"Cementmixer" Marcus Whelband 46:46

The top 2 ladies from TMK in the 10k event were:

Kirsty Bishop  59:47

Alice Ely 66:58

The steep hill up to the Campbell Park beacon was quite slippy and sorted out the men from the boys.

Also at the same event a 5k and 2.3k race were held. Mark Booth was 3rd in the 5k with his daughters Ella and Amy 1st and 3rd in the 2.3k race.
