Membership news | Welfare officers wanted! |
---|---|
The renewal of membership was suspended at the end of March due the lockdown. Now that the club has started to reintroduce activities, where possible, renewals have now restarted. Due to the lack of activities over the summer months members are being offered 18 months for the normal renewal price. All members will be sent an email reminder when their renewal is due, current expiry date is shown on membership cards which are attached as a PDF to the welcome email that is sent to members when joining or renewing membership. All members (current members in March 2020) will be offered this deal which will run until March 2021. |
Despite our request last year for volunteers to step up to be
welfare officer, sadly nobody has completed all the necessary steps
to become one. As our current welfare officer will be standing down
this year, we need at least two candidates (one for the multisport
section and one for cycling) so the club can continue to offer our
youth members training. To complete the welfare officer training,
candidates only need to complete a training session from the
relevant federation (BTF or BC) and obtain an enhanced DBS check
through the respective organisation. If you need more info about the
role, then please speak to the relevant coaches or contact Lucie: club-admin@teammk.com |

Saturday youth races | Adult swim training |
---|---|
Our coaches are working hard on creating series of Covid-19 safe
youth races (road) at the Bowl to be held soon. Once we have the
final details, these will be posted on the Youth Section Facebook
page. Like all club events, these will also need volunteers. If you
are able to help out, please drop Lucie a line: club-admin@teammk.com |
After spending his summer break filling in risk assessment paperwork, Coach Mark Bell has managed to get swimming restarted at Wolverton Pool. Information about this can be found on the club forum. |
Youth run training | Saturday club rides |
---|---|
Coaches Lisa and Karen have started youth run training sessions again after completing all the necessary paperwork. Covid-19 guidelines mean we have to keep a track of numbers so they are using an app to manage attendance. Please go to the Facebook Youth section for more information on how your child can take part. | Phil B. has worked hard to get club rides restarted in compliance with new guidelines. Gone are the days of just simply turning up for a ride, pre-registration is the new normal. Phil has kindly compiled everything you need to know (and do) and posted this on the club forum as your first port of call. |
